The Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital, one of Odisha’s accredited medical schools, was founded in 2007. IMS and SUM Hospital Bhubaneswar are some of its alternate names. In addition to undergraduate medical education, SUM Hospital Bhubaneswar also grants postgraduate degrees in non-clinical disciplines. The Institute of Medical Sciences & SUM Hospital is Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan’s medical school and hospital (IMS and SH). It consists of the Institute of Medical Sciences, the medical college, and the Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan or SOA Hospital (IMS).
The IMS – Institute of Medical Sciences is the name of a private medical college in Odisha (the college wing). It has six lecture halls equipped with online learning technologies. The campus has a fast wireless network, and the library has an internet café.
There is now post-graduate instruction available in clinical subjects including surgery and anaesthesia. SUM Medical College provides first-rate, contemporary facilities. On the campus, there are tennis, badminton, basketball, and volleyball courts as well as a large activity centre, a large theater-style auditorium for special events, a central library, a gym, separate dorms for men and women, three canteens, two messes, apartments for interns, and staff quarters.
