NEET UG ADMISSIONS

  • NEET UG stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test which is an Entrance Examination for Undergraduate courses like M.B.B.S/B.D.S/Nursing etc.
  • NEET UG is conducted for 720 Marks. There are 180 Questions in which a General category candidate need to score at least 50 percentile, SC/ST/OBC Candidate need to score 90 percentile, and a Person with Disability (PWD) candidate needs 45 percentile to Qualify for the Admissions NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST [NEET (UG)] as a uniform entrance examination for admission to MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS and other undergraduate medical programmed in approved/recognized Medical/Dental/AYUSH and other Colleges/Deemed Universities /Institutes (AIIMS & JIPMER) in India, as per Section 14 of The National Medical Commission (NMC) Act, 2019 and relevant Graduate Medical Education Regulations (GMER) 1997, as amended from time to time.

Below are the Courses which comes under NEET UG

MBBS is Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery, and it is the term that is used for those students who are pursuing the five-year degree programme in medicine.

  • Level: Undergraduate
  • Eligibility: 10+2 with physics, chemistry, and biology
  • Duration: 5.5 year (4.5 years + 1 year internship)

BDS(Bachelor of Dental Surgery) is a 5-years undergraduate program and the only approved professional dental course in India. The 5-year program involves 4 years of classroom education and 1 year of compulsory rotating internship. The degree is regulated by the Dental Council of India (DCI). The various BDS subjects taught in the program include Dental Histology, Oral Pathology, Oral Surgery, etc. It is necessary for the students to register themselves in the Dental Council of India which regulates the BDS course so that they become eligible to practice their profession after the completion of their degree.

Duration: 5 years ( 4 years + 1 year of compulsory paid internship).
Eligibility: 10+2 with a minimum of 50% Compulsory subjects include Physics, Chemistry, Biology

B.Sc(Bachelor of Science in Nursing) Nursing is a four-year-long undergraduate course that deals with nursing and medicine as primary functions and aims to enable students to become future nurses and contribute positively to the medical field.

BAMS(Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) Course duration is 5.5 years. BAMS Course subjects are divided into 4 professionals over the 5 years 6 months duration. The BAMS subjects include Padartha Vigyan And Ayurved Itihas, Dravyaguna Vigyan, Maulik Siddhant Avum Ashtang Hridaya, Charak Samhita, Rachana Sharir, Rasashastra and also uman anatomy, physiology, pathology & diagnostic procedures, principles of medicine, pharmacology, toxicology, forensic medicine, E.N.T etc.

BHMS(Bachelor in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery) course duration is 5 years and 6 months which includes 1 year of rotatory internship after completing the final examination. The basic eligibility criteria for BHMS course is to secure 50% marks in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as the compulsory subjects from a recognized university.
